Manipulating icons

Icons are the most frequently used visual element in a visual map. This chapter provides detailed instructions on all aspects of manipulating topic icons in MindVisualizer.

·     The Icons Library.
The Icons Library is the source from where you add icons to topics.

·     Adding icons to topics.
1.   Select the target topics.
2.   Open the Icons Library.
3.   Click on the icon you want and it will:
·     be added to the selected topics, if the Mutually Exclusive switch is on.
·     replace the existing icons of the the selected topics, if the Mutually Exclusive switch is off.

·     Deleting a single icon from a single topic.
·     Method one:
1.   Right click on any icon of the target topic.
2.   A context menu pops up and you select Remove Icon.
·     Method two:
1.   Click the target topic.
2.   Click to select the target icon which you want to delete.
3.   Press <Del> key.

·     Deleting all icons from topics.
·     Method one:
1.   Right click on the target topic.
2.   A context menu pops up and you select Icons > Clear Icons.
·     Method two:
1.   Right click on any icon of the target topic.
2.   A context menu pops up and you select Clear Icons.
